Work With Govt in Facing Crisis

The Opposition has been urged to work together with the Government to develop a common ground in facing the global financial crisis. In the global community, increasing political and economic pressures and occasional self-interest have driven some of us away from the mutual understanding and interest. Najib said the list of challenges faced by the Government was made even more daunting with the Opposition, which is a critical voice to any productive democracy, still reluctant in claiming the majority voice in Parliament through the back door. Malaysia is fortunate that the electorate remain willing, within limits, to provide the Government the time to catch up. On the economic crisis, Malaysia must take this opportunity in adversity to further integrate our economies with our most important trade and investment partners. We must avoid the temptation to resort to protectionist barriers - the world must remain open for business. In my own opinion it is true that we must cooperate in handling this issue as it is a big problem that occurring all over the world. Meanwhile, we must understand that each people has their own perception toward something and different point of view, it is an advantage for us to choose for the best view. We could not force other people to agree with us since they have their own calculation. For conclusion, I would like to say that we must first find the keypoint that we are agree with each other in order to unite under the same objective.

MCA Needs to Reform to be Relevant:

MCA must learn from its mistakes before it can hope to stage a comeback after the March 8 general election. There is possibility that they will lose more of what it had built if reformation is not conducted as soon as possible. MCA, the second largest Barisan component party, won just 46 out of the 130 seats it contested this round. MCA must not only reform itself but also take the initiative to tell Barisan the ways to reform before the situation worsened. They can no longer take things for granted like before. They also must discard complacency. In order to achieve their target, they must have great teamwork as it was main keypoint for the survival of any organisation and any divisiveness would lead everyone to failure. Each party must groom and develop successors to continue its political struggle. A party can be as strong as it can be, but its strength and glory will fade and destroy if there is no successor. The party will just go into history. Chan was confident that the movement, under the new leadership, could contribute to the party and introduce lots of reforms along the way.

Thieves Blow Up ATM With Fireworks Bomb

Thieves tried to break open an ATM in Puchong with a homemade explosive device made of fireworks, fortunately they did not get the money. It is very surprised as this is the first time a homemade explosive device has been used in robbery. Two men in their 20s were captured in action by the bank’s closed-circuit-television cameras. A patrol car crew heard the explosion and rushed to the scene. Unfortunately, the thieves manage to fled away on seeing the patrol car. CCTV recordings showed the thieves riding up to the bank on a motorcycle. Police from the forensics department were sent to the scene to gather evidence and found remnants of the device. Police are still uncertain of the motive of the two men were they trying to vandalise the machine or getting to the money. Thieves have used various ways to break into ATMs including using tractors and tow trucks to uproot the machines. Firstly, I would like to congratulate the Police Department for their effective action in handling this cases. Although there are CCTV in the bank, the thieves can still bombing the ATM. So, in addition we must upgrade our security level, as preventing is better than cure. The key point is citizens must be responsible and playing their role properly in order to help the authority. Finally, I want to state that we are in unstable condition, therefore we should always aware to the surrounding since we do not know if something bad will happen upon us.

I am not to blame for PM’s exit

Umno Youth deputy chief Khairy Jamaluddin has denied that he is to blame for the early exit of his father-in-law Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi as Prime Minister. He said since the beginning of Abdullah’s premiership, the party leadership had been a “victim of constant" .Over the years, there have been criticism and scathing attacks against Khairy by a number of people, including former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. They alleged that the Prime Minister was allowing his 32-year-old son-in-law to interfere in the running of the Government, which both Abdullah and Khairy have denied. Khairy said Abdullah’s decision to leave office in March should be recognised as a sacrifice for party unity. In my opinion all of the members of cabinet and party should be responsible for the problems. Although he has denied for such criticism, but he should know he could be involved without his consideration. Politicians always play with words in order to support their position, so we must have rational thinking when we are facing such occasions.

Going Green From Young

Teaching young generation to appreciate the nature and environment is good action in order to inculcate in them sense of responsibilities toward nature. Pupils of Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Section 9, Shah Alam, were picked as Panasonic’s Eco Kidz recently. The initiative taken by Panasonic’s Eco Kidz by adopting school and its students recently can be a great example to others. Through the project the company intended to raise environment awareness and promote conservation activities in local communities. Under the project, the students will be involved in educational activities including factory eco-tours, eco-education, recreation and eco-competitions. The project also involves planting trees in school compounds. Selection of the school was based on its efforts in environment projects, including recycling. Managing young people is easier than adult, thus we should grab this chance. Hoping that this effort will continue to be nourished in the whole world in order to produce sustainable condition.

U.S. Plane Violated Iran's Territory

From the article we can predict that United States always seeking opportunity in order to take advantage on Iran as they are enriching their nuclear without the permission of United States. Numerous ways had been taken to stop the process but none is effective, so that we should be suspicious with all U.S action since they will not stop until they achieve their target. U.S. military aircraft had violated Iranian territory unintentionally and had been forced to land in Iran on tuesday reported by an Iranian news agency. if we use our own mind is it logical to say an airplane will pass through an area unintentionally? In fact we could not denied that, may be all of the scene is planned systematically. Recently we have heard about Iran may be attacked by the United States. So everything can occur without our expectation. Although it said that five senior U.S. military officials had been interrogated at an Iranian airport and released a day later after it became clear the U.S. plane had not entered intentionally but we must be awared to them always.

Fuel Price Cuts To Ease Burden

The fuel price decrease hopefully will ease the burden of the people during Hari Raya. But the Government would be paying slightly more in fuel subsidy as the average crude oil price would be only seven sen cheaper but the Government had decided to absorb the difference and lower petrol and diesel prices by 10 sen. Although the 10 sen reduction was good for the public but it would not make any difference to bus operators since they still get subsidised diesel at a set price. Besides, consumers should continue to remain thrifty and manage their money wisely. For the Government, they must continue to plan for better public transportation as the fuel issue will continue to affect us in future. For sure we did not expect prices of goods and services to drop in line with the reduction as the cost of production and raw materials had risen dramatically. Therefore the reduction should have been more. But nevertheless, it is better than nothing change. As conclusion, we should always be prepared to any changes in order to survive in this world of globalisation.

Parents Say No to NS Stint After Son’s Death

Lim Geok Kim and his wife Meng Yeok are still mourning the loss of their son Ricky who died after completing his three-month national service stint recently. The SMK Catholic High student did not complain of any illness or pain prior to his death but he did complain about the camp’s hygiene and yellowish water supply. In my own view it is really hard to accept the death of their son after taking a good care of him , all of the sudden everything is changing after completing national service that lead to his death. We are not blaming the authorities but sometimes they should be blamed for such problems. If I am one of the parents, I would not take anymore risk by leaving my daughter entering the national service. It is true that national service has many advantages, but we must remember that everything has positive and negative consequences, therefore, I want to urge the government to review and monitor the effectiveness of the programme. Besides, improve cleanliness, food supply and many more thing that related to human so that all civillians will satisfy with the programme. If this programme is conducted properly I am sure that we can prevent the problems from occuring redundently.

Zaid’s Simple Recipe To Reforms

Senator Datuk Zaid Ibrahim said that a reform is only complicated if we dont want it. The Government should be more transparent, adopt meritocracy and a more equitable system and this is not easy. Secondly, the civillians should voice up their problems to their Member of Parliament, the party in power and the president of the party. Or they should change the government if that doesn’t work. Besides, we all have to find alternative routes to get what we want. The reform was meant to make the Government more transparent, employ a fairer and more equitable system, get the best people for the job, and to have meritocracy in place. The difficulty is some people don’t want to change and as long as they are in power. The race relations is a major problem in Malaysia. There are Malays who subscribe to ketuanan Melayu, special rights, special law and are fearful of the Chinese. The young people should be able to understand the other’s problems and fears so we can solve problems. The whole spectrum of our national life cannot undergo reform if the Malays, Chinese and Indians are ridden with fear and chauvinistic views. We should move beyond talk, address the fundamental problem, understand the issues and be willing to sit down and be trusting enough with one another. We really need to get out of mediocrity and stereotype and educate young people. Solving national problems is very difficult as the problems involve numerous people with different background, thougths, races and religion. By identifying the root of the problems and equality. Hopefully we can solve the problems wisely with all people satisfy with the solution.

Internal Security Act To Stay For Now,

In my opinion The Internal Security Act should be reviewed or repealed. Each person has the rights to be protected by the law. Someone is innocent or not guilty until it is proved that he or she is guilty. This rule should be applied in laws making procedure. But, The Government had decided that this act will not be reviewed or repealed for now as such preventive laws were still needed for the people to live in peace and security. It cannot be denied that this act has its own crucialty in laws application but we are questioning how fare the procedure and to whom we should applied this act. It is very unfare applying this act on those unappropriate one in order to save individual importance in Government but not for the civilliance. The statement is issued due to the calls from various parties, including many Cabinet ministers, who want the ISA to be reviewed, carefully used or abolished since there were parts of the Act which did not meet humanitarian aspects and those could be the ones to undergo a cautious review. The Government should review the appropriateness of the ISA current scenario and ensure its proper use to safeguard national security as the rakyat desired security for the country but at the same time wanted to ensure that their freedom was not affected. There is no other way except Islam. We always discussing human laws that is unperfect and change, but we are ignoring Islam Rules and Regulations. Consequently, we had seen that the justice is not perform and the criminals sometime escape and sometimes those who are innocent is punished without any relevant perpose. I want to left several question to be thought, are we saying that human laws is better than Allah's Laws, and are we choosing the right one for our own sake or we had chosen the wrong one. Be Allah servants, follow his instructions and prevent ourselves from his angry and the truly success is in our hands..

PM Will Not Convene Emergency Parliament Session

Our country is in unstable political condition with Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim is planning for his return to become our new Prime Minister.Recently, he had asked for emergency session of parliament as the Dewan Rakyat will be sitting soon but,Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has denied the call to convene an emergency session of the Dewan Rakyat. In my opinion the Government should take serious upon thi issue as the one who are taking the action is not an ordinary man, he is our Former Vice Prime Minister that has lot of experience in administration and politics, so he know what he is doing. We should be alerted that the civillance has lost their believe toward the Government upon certain issues and Anwar had stated that he can solve the problems. Definitely, people are trusting him as he had manage Malaysia's economy long time ago in stable condition. It is true that when our Prime Minister described Anwar as a threat to national security and the economy because of his lies, which he said were affecting the investment climate. But this is not a lying since anwar is speaking based on facts in his hand. Whether the Government are trying with their best effort to close their weaknesses by condemning Anwar. We should be open minded that the power is in 'Rakyat's hand let us decide what is better for the country. Although Anwar failed to take over the Federal Government by Sept 16 as he had pledged but this did not mean that he can't. Trials is a part of success and make perfect or maybe it is true that he should wait for the next five years. It is not a nonsense when our Government denying that Anwar has 30 Barisan MPs. We hope that whoever will be administrating Malaysia will do their best for the country based on Islam as only with Islam we will succeed.

Hamas Backs Reconciliation But Rejects Pressure

Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal said on Saturday the Islamist group supported reconciliation among Palestinians provided there was no external pressure and all issues were discussed. Although, pressure and siege have been tried against Hamas but Hamas remained steadfast. This act should be followed by all muslims in handling hard difficulties. Islam teaches us about peace and we only fight for our religion and if there is no other solution than war. If the solution can be obtain by discussion we will choose this method rather than killing people in battles.
It had been a long time since 1948 palestine had been the subject of Western sanctions and an illegal Israeli siege of Gaza supported by Washington. Sorry to say, although Hamas is on the side of its Arab brothers it did not receive appropriate help from its siblings. It is unfair to blame the Palestinians for the schism and ignore the U.S. and Israeli role. In order to improve political condition in palestine, a presidential election must be held before Abbas's term expired in January and that Hamas would respect the result. I am very sad to see we are fighting each other, and the zionist are clapping their hand due to our bad behaviour. For sure, those who are defending islam is in the right path whether who are defending their status, races and their priorities are in the wrong path. In fact, in 2007, Abbas dismissed the Hamas-led Palestinian government and appointed a new administration in the occupied West Bank where his Fatah group holds way. Finally, I want to urge all muslims in the world to wake up from their sleep and try to give their best support to palestine as they are our sibling too. The land is ours so that we must defend it from being disturbed by those intruders and enemies.

Shorter Price Control Period to Help Traders

Here I would like to congratulate our Government for their action on managing many problems that had occured due to the fluctuation of price or should the increase of price starting from oil price until all essential food items. The food items have been put under price control list for a shorter period on this festive season so that traders can recover their operation costs particularly chicken farmers, who have been complaining that their profits have been slashed following an increase in operating costs. Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad said this was why the Government reduced the price control period from 38 days previously to just 15 for this Hari Raya. Besides the Government had allowed traders and chicken farmers to sell their goods at a price level which will allow them to recover their costs and at the same time enjoy profits. This time, the price control will only be imposed for two weeks – a week before the festive holiday and a week after – so that they will not suffer unnecessary losses. The same two-week festive season price control scheme would be imposed for other holidays such as Christmas, Hari Gawai, Hari Kaamatan and Chinese New Year. The controlled food items for Hari Raya and Deepavali include chicken, beef, mutton, mackerel, eggs, cabbage, red chillies, grated coconut, red and white pomfret, tomatoes and white prawns.

Although numerous intiative had been taken in order to solve this problems, but we still in hard condition. Therefore we should try to save money from buying unnecessary items and spend our money wisely while facing problems. Moreover, we should support the government plan for our own benefits. In fact, the effectiveness of the programme are determined by us and people who are involved in that situation, therefore we need to cooperate with each other in order to solve the critical problems. In addition, we as consumer must understand the situation and not just blaming those traders who sell their products at high prices. But if the prices are very higher than usual we can take action by lodging reports to the authority so that our rights will be keep preserved. Be alert always and act wisely and rationally.

Third dialogue on Teaching Maths, Science in English

The third in a series of roundtable discussions on the Teaching and Learning of Science and Mathematics in English (PPSMI) will be held on Sept 19 involving primary and secondary school teachers, the first batch of PPSMI students in secondary school, and officers from the Education Ministry, state education departments and the district education offices. That is a great initiative which has been done by our academicians. Hoping that all policies in our country should be monitored and improved always. There are two objectives why the discussion are being held, first to gauge public views on PPSMI and to decide whether to revert to Bahasa Malaysia as the medium of instruction. The decision on PPSMI will be clarified by year-end after taking into consideration the views of stakeholders and analysing research findings. The results of the first batch of pupils who have been studying the subjects in English from 2003 and who have just completed the Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) would also be studied. The ministry will continue to encourage individuals and interested parties to express their views and opinions whenever a critical decision is to be made with regards to policies, thus ensuring the continuous improvement of education in the country. Education is the main factor in producing human resources, therefore it is our responsibility to enhance the efficiency of the education. Based on facts there are no country in this world can have high achievement in the world by using foreigners language. It is true that we must learn english in our life, but the main purpose is to communicate and sharing knowledge. Why we keep on following The English in all aspects in our life. Is there any any other solution? In my opinion we should translate books and knowledge for the sake of our civilliance. We had seen The Malacca thousands years ago can manipulate the world by using The Lingua Franca or should we say Malay Language, and this had been done by translating knowledge in foreign language into malay. If we see from the west part, they had translated Ibnu Sina books and Islamic Scholars in Arabic Language into their own Language for sure english, latin, france and germany. Why they are doing so, because they knew that by applying knowledge in their own language could improve a lot of understanding towards the materials thus enable them to be the greatest in the whole world. I want to left a question here, why we do not try to act like them as we had seen large advantages by doing so. Finally, as a malaysian, we should be proud of our own language and using it in order to improve our life in all aspects based on Islam and our own principles.

Petrol, Diesel Prices Reduced from Saturday

Here's some great news. The price of petrol and diesel at the pump will be reduced from Sat,Aug 23.The price of RON97 petrol will be reduced by 15 sen to RM2.55 a litre from RM2.70, while RON92 will be 22 sen less at RM2.40, from RM2.62.The premium Shell V-Power Racing will cost 10 sen less per litre, at RM3.05 from RM3.15.The retail price of diesel will be eight sen less at RM2.50 a litre. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi announced the new prices in a statement after Friday's Cabinet meeting. He said the prices were determined by taking into account the actual price from Aug 1 to 21 and the 30 sen per litre subsidy borne by the government, while the subsidy for diesel, based on the new price, was 50 sen a litre. The cabinet decided to bring forward the enforcement date for adjustment of the new petrol price. For sure, this a good news for us as the consumers, but if we compare the amount of price increase is very large rather than the price decrease we will realize that the government still gaining lot of profit where as the community are facing problems every day. Although the price of fuel decrease, but the price of food stuff remain the same without can be controlled by government or us. Those who are involved in business and enterpreneurship will know that this is the perfect time to make lot of profit and they have the power especially for the chinese. Recently, the ticket price had undergo hiking of price for 30%, thus burdening the consumers who are poor and everybody who are using this facility. Although the government had said that they had tried their best in managing this issues, but the best solution has never been produced and done. We are in dilemma since it is our fault in some cases who are unable to manage the souces of our country properly and keeping dependent on outsiders. It is a big mistake exporting of our own oil without making storage and importing less quality of oil into the country causing us unable to decide our own price but we must follow the world price. We have no other choices except always trying for the best. We hope all problems can be solved and we always hoping like that. May God bless us in our life.

Feeding The Poor This Ramadan

RAMADAN comes again with thousand of goodness, thus we as a muslims should grab this chances for our prosperity in the world and the hereafter. One of the ways can be done by contributing your money to Islamic Relief Malaysia (IR Malaysia) Berhad that will devide those charitable property to unlucky people. They are hoping that more people can benefit from its food distribution programme this year.To be able to do that, the non-governmental organisation is banking on contributions from the public so that the poor could have enough to break fast like everyone this month. Called the “Feed the Fasting” food aid programme, this is carried out annually during the Ramadan month, in which Malaysians can donate RM50 to help a poor family sustain for at least a week. The fluctuation and increase of food prices have affected the amount of foodstuff they can pack with RM50. Besides, all people are considering the same facts that they should manage their money properly due to the increase of food prices. But this will not break their effort to accomplish this harmony vision in order to help unfortunate people. This is based on the principle in Islam that encourage us to help others. However, each package this year will still consists of the basic foodstuff like rice, flour, oil, and sugar. It is difficult to tell if those boxes could sustain the poor throughout Ramadan, generally IR Malaysia’s primary aim was to ease their burden. They hope to continue the campaign even during Hari Raya so that they have proper meals to eat during the festive period. In addition, IRM also help in building a library fo an orphanage . They also distribute food for the orphans to break fast. They hoped people could come forward to pledge cash contributions rather than second-hand books as they believed orphans should still receive the best in education. A medical health check-up was also provided for the recipients in Chemor during the distribution campaign. They also hoping more corporations can sponsor them with cash or kind. From this article we can conclude that each person has the responsibilities to help each other although we are not recognizing each other but as a muslims we are siblings in our religion with the same faith and stage. Therefore, there is no excuses to neglect them in our life, and be careful that Allah will ask us what have we done for our religion, if we have done nothing in our life we may be facing diffculties in the hereafter. So, donate your money in the right path rather than wasting them in bad path.
Those who wish to contribute can log onto www.irm.org.my or call 03-8948 6334.

Three People Nabbed in Murder of UMS Student

Murdering has been usual issues everyday, it is hard to read newspapers without reading those cases. Recently, three people were nabbed in murder of UMS student whom they suspect could have been raped. Police had arrested the trio, including a pirate taxi driver, to assist in investigations into the death of Sherliana Gediun. Sherliana, a final-year student at UMS, had left her home in northern Kota Marudu district on Aug 22 boarding a pirated taxi. The case came just months after another UMS student was kidnapped and raped outside the campus. But she was rescued by police in interior Tambunan. From this report, we can conclude that we must take a good care of ourselves always in order to protect us from casualties. Especially for the women, they should be in the house when it is dark already. Always walk with friends and siblings when you are outside. It is very sad to face the death of our young student, who had the potential to contribute a lot for the country, this means we are losing our human capital in such a tragic ways. In order to prevent this cases from repeatedly happening we should collaborate with each other and keep an eye who are suspected to be criminals.

Mentally-Disabled Woman Raped Repeatedly

It was very ashamed to state a raping issue, but we must face the reality that nowadays raping cases always occuring in our country. Maybe this is happening because of our negligence in practicing Islam as our religion, lack of islamic education and moral and the inability to control ourselves. Recently, a 22 year old mentally-disabled woman is seven months pregnant after having been repeatedly raped by two men since last year. The suspects, a bus driver in his 60s and a 55-year-old businessman, have been making “stopovers” at the victim’s house in Taman Rinting, Masai, and taking her to their homes to rape her when her father was not around. Unfortunately, the mother, who is also mentally disabled, was unable to do anything to stop the two men, who made separate visits to the house. We as the member of society should be alerted on these issues and try to make affordable actions in order to prevent these cases from occuring. As the victim we should be braved in protecting our dignity and life. If we did not come to the front, the suspects who are guilty will live freely thus endangering society. The Authority should take strict action against those criminals making them as example to civilliance. Therefore, they will be afraid to do any criminals. It is our desire to see the justice being upheld in order to produce peaceful country.

How to quit smoking

Every people knows the bad effect of smoking, but for those who are smoking, they may be ignoring the side effect because of they are craving for cigarettes every day. In other words, smoking has been their lifestyle that could not be separated from their life. Here, I want to share some tips on how to quit smoking. Firstly, drink more water as water eliminates toxins from our body. Secondly, quit with buddies who are ready to help you and stop smoking with you. Next, enlist support and make a plan in order to achieve your goals. Have a healthy lifestyle, think positive and be patient always. In my experience, those who are smoking has a short age if we compare to a normal person. Besides, they are wasting their money as they are burning the money voluntarily . As a human we should use our mind to differentiate between positive and negative for our own safety. Say no to smoking, if you are smokers, you also endangering your family, so stop smoking from today.

The Terrorist of The World :The Zionist

The world had seen the zionist terrorism every day, unfortunately to say that we are likely have no power to take the actions against them. Besides, those who have the ability like Arab Saudi is reluctant to help their own siblings in palestine as they have their own reasons or should we say they are coward and afraid of United States who always defending their gold son israel. Recently, The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) said in its weekly report that the "Israel violations of international law and humanitarian law continued in the OPT during the reporting period (21-27 August 2008)"The report listed numerous violation in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, including shooting, incursions, arrests, restrictions on movement, settlement expansion, land confiscation, building of the aparteid wall, and closure of border crossings of the Gaza Strip as well as an increase in settler attacks against Palestinian villagers. PCHR stated that these violation are encouraged by the international community turning a blind eye to them. The conspiracy of silence practiced by the international community has encouraged Israel to act as if it is above the law and continue to violate international human rights and humanitarian law. During the reporting period, nine Palestinian civillians, including 5 children, and an Israeli human rights defender were wounded by IOF gunfire at peaceful anti-wall demonstrators in Ni'lin village west of Ramallah. Furthermore, the IOF conducted 53 military incursions into West Bank Palestinian communities and arrested 48 Palestinians including five children according to the report. PCHR also said that the IOF continued to impose restriction of movement on Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank including occupied East. From those facts, we can conclude that The Zionist is the criminal and terrorist of the world. It is our responsibilities as muslims to fight against them together without discriminating other people. We must find the solution as fast as possible as the muslims in Palestine are in serious condition. In my opinion, the only solution for these problems is by returning back to Al- Quran as a guidance of our life and be a united society under trusted leader. We must ready to sacrifice everything in order make our objective of making Islam rises again is a reality and not an imagination only.

Importance of Salah In Islam

Salah is prominence in our life and it is one of the pillars in Islam. It is clear that the objective of our creation and of our life is to worship Allah. There are numerous types of worship in Islam and Salah is one of the most important obligatory acts. Salah is the ritual prayer practiced by Muslims in supplication to Allah in order to strenghten our faith in Islam. It prepares us with a goodness life and obedience to Allah and it builds courage and determination. Each time we perform Salah, we are renewing our commitments to Allah and we rid ourselves from pressures five times a day.The thing that Allah loves most is when his people pray Salah on the time.Salah is a practical sign of obedience to the commands of Allah. The sins those who perform Salah drop off as the leaves of this branch fell of. Ablution before Salah is a unique way of cleansing certain parts of our body so that Allah will receive our Salah as we are clean. The final thing that our prophet emphasized at his deathbed was Salah. He also said the first thing we will have to answer about on the day of judgement os Salah. while in Salah we are commucating with Allah and experiences his presence. Salah is a pillar of Religion, if Salah is accepted all other deeds are accepted. If Salah is rejected then all other deeds are rejected. The key to Heaven is Salah. The key to Salah is Purification. Therefore, we should take a good care of our obligation and perform them as the best as we can in order to safe in world and hereafter.

Celebrate The Arrival of Ramadhan

This article is discussing about religious observances during the month of Ramadan that takes place during the ninth month of the islamic calender. It is the month in which the Qur'an began to be revealed and the Islamic month of fasting, which Muslims don't eat or drink anything from sunrise until sunset. The objective of fasting is to teach us the patience and humility. The most important event of this month is the fasting practiced by the most observant Muslims. In this month we are encouraged to put more effort into following the teachings of Islam and to avoid obscene and irreligious sights and sounds. Sexual activities during fasting hours are also forbidden. Purity of both thought and action is necessary by cleansing the inner soul and free it from harm. It can inculcate a feeling of peace and calm. It also allows Muslims to practice self-discipline, sacrifice, and sympathy for those who are less fortunate, making Muslims more generous and charitable. Muslims can eat after the sun has set. Pregnant women, the elderly, the ill, travellers and children who have not reached puberty are all exempt from fasting as lack of food and liquid in these situations could be hazardous to health. In addition, we are urge to read the whole Qur'an. Muslims tend to perform the recitation of the entire Qur'an in special prayers, called Tarawih, which are held in the mosques every night of the month. Besides, muslims also must pay Zakat. Since, it is a festival of sharing and giving. Muslims prepare special foods and buy gifts for their family and friends and for giving to the poor and needy who cannot afford it, There is also a social aspect involved - preparation of special foods and inviting people for the Iftar meal. We as a muslim should take this opportunity wisely in order to get God blessing in this precious month all over the year.

The Mother of All By Election

A by-election will be held for the Dewan Rakyat parliamentary seat of Permatang Pauh on August 26,2008. An election is the most important moment for the members of society to choose their leaders who will manage the country. In my opinion, this by election is very unique and different from others with our Former Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the candidate for Parti Keadilan Rakyat. It will be a big fight and a judgement of the citizen's believe toward the government. There is possibility that the old government will fell and new government could be formed. Since the citizens has to undergo hard condition with the oil price hike that lead to hiking of price for all products. Besides, there are many cases had occured during this election may reduce the reputation of both side of candidate. In order to win the election, the candidate must be willing to cover all areas and tackle the young voters, be influential and have clean record and be acceptable to friends and foes in Permatang Pauh. Finally, we as citizens should use our rational thinking to differentiate what is good or wrong. Vote for the truth and we must remember that each vote is very precious that determine our future.

Maths genius: Count On Inner Gift

Anyone can be a mathematics genius by developing his or her own technique to solve mathematical problems, says mathematical genius Shakuntala Devi. Such a technique could be developed by mere concentration, she said. However, she said that there was no standard procedure for this, as everyone was unique adding that she could turn mathematics haters to lovers.. All they need is the power to concentrate to awaken this gift. I am agree with her, although mathematics is a critical subject and there some people who hate math as it is very difficult. In order to be expert in this field we must do lot of exercises always and understand all the concepts related with the problems. There is no other way, if we want to develop our skills.

Locals and Tourists Want Jalan Alor To Be Maintained

In my opinion the Kuala Lumpur City Hall should not change the name Jalan Alor to Jalan Kejora as it has sparked a public outcry. Although the objective of action is to create new image, the authority must consider the effect of their action upon public interest. The Jalan Alor name has been in existence for 35 years, therefore it is difficult to change the mind setting of society. City Hall explained that the name was changed at the request of the National Economic Action Council to meet requirements under the road naming guidelines and to go with other roads in the vicinity. Besides, the changing of the name has numerous effects to public, traders, and tourists. The tourists feel that the popular street should retain its name for the convenience of tourists looking for the place the next time they return here. In addition, the area had taken years to establish its reputation and changing its name overnight was unfair to the locals. For conclusion, in my point of view, the name Jalan Alor should be maintained for the sake of the public, traders, and tourist.

AIDS Vaccine Focus Shifts After Disappointments

A global AIDS vaccine conference this week will seek fresh strategies against the HIV virus, with experts weighing the value of basic laboratory research against large-scale human clinical trials after a string of disappointments. Approaches now has changed focusing on "neutralizing antibodies" that would allow the human immune system to block infection completely, are likely to take over existing models that seek to manage infection after it occurs. Fundamentally we don't understand enough about the human immune system and we don't know how the immune system deals with HIV. The two stalled vaccines had been produced, one developed by drug giant Merck and the other by U.S. government researchers, both aimed to fight AIDS by encouraging so-called cell-mediated immunity, jump-starting T-cells to tackle the virus and stop or slow the progress of HIV-related disease. The AIDS virus infects an estimated 33 million people globally and has killed 25 million since it was identified in the 1980s. Cocktails of drugs can control the virus but there is no cure and remedies. Focus was now on another approach to fighting HIV: lab work to discover how to help the body produce antibodies to prevent infection altogether. Neutralizing antibodies are a major component of almost all other vaccines. This year's disappointments should not be allowed to derail the pace of research. It's a continuous and iterative process. We have to accept that maybe it's not going to be possible. But until we know that, we have to keep trying. In my point of view, this effort must be a continuous process in order to obtain desired medicines for HIV and AIDS. In research, it is usual to face failure before getting actual result so that we must be patient and do not get disappointed easily as we are nearly approaching the succes. For sure each disease has its own remedies, only we need to find for the solution. Therefore we should be united in solving this problems in global context and sharing with others for the sake of the whole world.

Dr M Still Speaking His Mind

When we are discussing political issues, the person that must not left behind is Dr Mahathir, our former Prime Minister. The one who had contribute a lot to the development of our country. He can be charming, intimidating and awesome, all at the same time. Although after resigning from politics, he still playing a role as responsibility citizen as he has the right to expect the country to be well governed. He always tell people we must be proud of our country and we can only be proud of your country if it is successful. So we have to work to make it successful. His words and criticisms always being heard and supported by those who are with him. For us, we should take good example of Dr Mahathir and leave behind the bad part by taking rational evaluation.

Parliament: ‘Shah Rukh Khan doesn’t deserve title’

A backbencher has questioned the rationale behind the Malacca state government conferring a Datukship on Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and asked that the title be withdrawn.
Datuk Seri Abdul Ghapur Salleh (BN – Kalabakan) asked what Shah Rukh Khan had done for the country and the state to deserve such an honour. I am agree with him since Shah Rukh Khan is a bollywood star from India not from Malaysia so that he did not done any contribution to our country. Therefore, why he deserve the honour. In my opinion the title should be withdrawn.

Energy Crisis

Energy crisis is a big issue that had been discussed all over the world. We can conclude it to three major sources shortage of oil, electricity and natural resources. The scientist had come up with great bottleneck theory, when the capacity of human increased drastically wether the sources are reducing. There are many factors causing this problem, such as market failure, pipeline failure, attacked by terrorist and natural disaster like hurricane. Therefore, now we are converting reliability to green energy such as fuel cell technology, liquid nitrogen, hydrogen fuel, biomethanol, solar energy, geotermal energy, wavepower and wind energy. Therefore, all of us should manage this problem as a worldwide issue. There is no problems that could not be solved, the solution are there, only we must find for it.

Thayer Award Address

What a big honor to be a soldier who received an award after serving for a long time to the country. This award is not just only to honor a personality, but to symbolize a great moral code. They are duty, honor and country. In my own opinion soldier is the most dangerous job in the whole world. They need to face danger and death in battle towards victory. In order to become great soldier, they must sincere and ready to sacrifice everything. Although fighting terrorisme, it is our priority to make sure the world in safe condition. We should choose negotiation rather than war. War leave a big impact to the whole world. Therefore, say no to war and strive towards peace for all.

OIL PRICE HIKE

2008 is the worst year for malaysians, when our Prime Minister had announced the price of oil or petrol had increased from RM1.92 to RM2.70. This situation is occurring all over the world and we are also facing the same problem. It cannot be denied that oil has been compulsory consumption for each of us. Therefore, it has leaved great impact on each person. There are several reasons why the price of oil hiking drastically. In fact, the demand for oil consumption was more than expected especially in China, India, and United States.Secondly, political and security instability in some oil exporting country causing them producing and exporting less oil. For sure, oil price hike has affected us deeply. Thus, we should find another alternative in order to replace it, hence decrease our reliability on oil. Besides, we should be prepared in any occasion. Preserve the stability of the world for our own good.

The Most Interesting Impromtu Speech

In my point of view, the representative from first step group, Ong Hang Chuan had accomplished the presentation for public speaking in excellent manner. There are many reasons why I am saying so, firstly, he is very creative in manipulating topic that has been given to him. When we are discussing about like and dislike, majority of us may be directly stated their preferred one or hated something in their life. Despite of telling us those thing, Hang Chuan had managed to focuse on his like and dislike friend in his life. Secondly, he has loud and clear voice to be heard by all the audience in the room. Next, he has perform well by having eye contact and body language with his classmates. Finally, with the help of good intonation and suitable facial expression making the audience reluctant to hear his speech. Thus producing attractive presentation that is unbored.
