The fuel price decrease hopefully will ease the burden of the people during Hari Raya. But the Government would be paying slightly more in fuel subsidy as the average crude oil price would be only seven sen cheaper but the Government had decided to absorb the difference and lower petrol and diesel prices by 10 sen. Although the 10 sen reduction was good for the public but it would not make any difference to bus operators since they still get subsidised diesel at a set price. Besides, consumers should continue to remain thrifty and manage their money wisely. For the Government, they must continue to plan for better public transportation as the fuel issue will continue to affect us in future. For sure we did not expect prices of goods and services to drop in line with the reduction as the cost of production and raw materials had risen dramatically. Therefore the reduction should have been more. But nevertheless, it is better than nothing change. As conclusion, we should always be prepared to any changes in order to survive in this world of globalisation.

Parents Say No to NS Stint After Son’s Death
Lim Geok Kim and his wife Meng Yeok are still mourning the loss of their son Ricky who died after completing his three-month national service stint recently. The SMK Catholic High student did not complain of any illness or pain prior to his death but he did complain about the camp’s hygiene and yellowish water supply. In my own view it is really hard to accept the death of their son after taking a good care of him , all of the sudden everything is changing after completing national service that lead to his death. We are not blaming the authorities but sometimes they should be blamed for such problems. If I am one of the parents, I would not take anymore risk by leaving my daughter entering the national service. It is true that national service has many advantages, but we must remember that everything has positive and negative consequences, therefore, I want to urge the government to review and monitor the effectiveness of the programme. Besides, improve cleanliness, food supply and many more thing that related to human so that all civillians will satisfy with the programme. If this programme is conducted properly I am sure that we can prevent the problems from occuring redundently.

Zaid’s Simple Recipe To Reforms
Senator Datuk Zaid Ibrahim said that a reform is only complicated if we dont want it. The Government should be more transparent, adopt meritocracy and a more equitable system and this is not easy. Secondly, the civillians should voice up their problems to their Member of Parliament, the party in power and the president of the party. Or they should change the government if that doesn’t work. Besides, we all have to find alternative routes to get what we want. The reform was meant to make the Government more transparent, employ a fairer and more equitable system, get the best people for the job, and to have meritocracy in place. The difficulty is some people don’t want to change and as long as they are in power. The race relations is a major problem in Malaysia. There are Malays who subscribe to ketuanan Melayu, special rights, special law and are fearful of the Chinese. The young people should be able to understand the other’s problems and fears so we can solve problems. The whole spectrum of our national life cannot undergo reform if the Malays, Chinese and Indians are ridden with fear and chauvinistic views. We should move beyond talk, address the fundamental problem, understand the issues and be willing to sit down and be trusting enough with one another. We really need to get out of mediocrity and stereotype and educate young people. Solving national problems is very difficult as the problems involve numerous people with different background, thougths, races and religion. By identifying the root of the problems and equality. Hopefully we can solve the problems wisely with all people satisfy with the solution.
Internal Security Act To Stay For Now,
In my opinion The Internal Security Act should be reviewed or repealed. Each person has the rights to be protected by the law. Someone is innocent or not guilty until it is proved that he or she is guilty. This rule should be applied in laws making procedure. But, The Government had decided that this act will not be reviewed or repealed for now as such preventive laws were still needed for the people to live in peace and security. It cannot be denied that this act has its own crucialty in laws application but we are questioning how fare the procedure and to whom we should applied this act. It is very unfare applying this act on those unappropriate one in order to save individual importance in Government but not for the civilliance. The statement is issued due to the calls from various parties, including many Cabinet ministers, who want the ISA to be reviewed, carefully used or abolished since there were parts of the Act which did not meet humanitarian aspects and those could be the ones to undergo a cautious review. The Government should review the appropriateness of the ISA current scenario and ensure its proper use to safeguard national security as the rakyat desired security for the country but at the same time wanted to ensure that their freedom was not affected. There is no other way except Islam. We always discussing human laws that is unperfect and change, but we are ignoring Islam Rules and Regulations. Consequently, we had seen that the justice is not perform and the criminals sometime escape and sometimes those who are innocent is punished without any relevant perpose. I want to left several question to be thought, are we saying that human laws is better than Allah's Laws, and are we choosing the right one for our own sake or we had chosen the wrong one. Be Allah servants, follow his instructions and prevent ourselves from his angry and the truly success is in our hands..

PM Will Not Convene Emergency Parliament Session
Our country is in unstable political condition with Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim is planning for his return to become our new Prime Minister.Recently, he had asked for emergency session of parliament as the Dewan Rakyat will be sitting soon but,Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has denied the call to convene an emergency session of the Dewan Rakyat. In my opinion the Government should take serious upon thi issue as the one who are taking the action is not an ordinary man, he is our Former Vice Prime Minister that has lot of experience in administration and politics, so he know what he is doing. We should be alerted that the civillance has lost their believe toward the Government upon certain issues and Anwar had stated that he can solve the problems. Definitely, people are trusting him as he had manage Malaysia's economy long time ago in stable condition. It is true that when our Prime Minister described Anwar as a threat to national security and the economy because of his lies, which he said were affecting the investment climate. But this is not a lying since anwar is speaking based on facts in his hand. Whether the Government are trying with their best effort to close their weaknesses by condemning Anwar. We should be open minded that the power is in 'Rakyat's hand let us decide what is better for the country. Although Anwar failed to take over the Federal Government by Sept 16 as he had pledged but this did not mean that he can't. Trials is a part of success and make perfect or maybe it is true that he should wait for the next five years. It is not a nonsense when our Government denying that Anwar has 30 Barisan MPs. We hope that whoever will be administrating Malaysia will do their best for the country based on Islam as only with Islam we will succeed.

Hamas Backs Reconciliation But Rejects Pressure
Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal said on Saturday the Islamist group supported reconciliation among Palestinians provided there was no external pressure and all issues were discussed. Although, pressure and siege have been tried against Hamas but Hamas remained steadfast. This act should be followed by all muslims in handling hard difficulties. Islam teaches us about peace and we only fight for our religion and if there is no other solution than war. If the solution can be obtain by discussion we will choose this method rather than killing people in battles.
It had been a long time since 1948 palestine had been the subject of Western sanctions and an illegal Israeli siege of Gaza supported by Washington. Sorry to say, although Hamas is on the side of its Arab brothers it did not receive appropriate help from its siblings. It is unfair to blame the Palestinians for the schism and ignore the U.S. and Israeli role. In order to improve political condition in palestine, a presidential election must be held before Abbas's term expired in January and that Hamas would respect the result. I am very sad to see we are fighting each other, and the zionist are clapping their hand due to our bad behaviour. For sure, those who are defending islam is in the right path whether who are defending their status, races and their priorities are in the wrong path. In fact, in 2007, Abbas dismissed the Hamas-led Palestinian government and appointed a new administration in the occupied West Bank where his Fatah group holds way. Finally, I want to urge all muslims in the world to wake up from their sleep and try to give their best support to palestine as they are our sibling too. The land is ours so that we must defend it from being disturbed by those intruders and enemies.

Shorter Price Control Period to Help Traders
Here I would like to congratulate our Government for their action on managing many problems that had occured due to the fluctuation of price or should the increase of price starting from oil price until all essential food items. The food items have been put under price control list for a shorter period on this festive season so that traders can recover their operation costs particularly chicken farmers, who have been complaining that their profits have been slashed following an increase in operating costs. Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad said this was why the Government reduced the price control period from 38 days previously to just 15 for this Hari Raya. Besides the Government had allowed traders and chicken farmers to sell their goods at a price level which will allow them to recover their costs and at the same time enjoy profits. This time, the price control will only be imposed for two weeks – a week before the festive holiday and a week after – so that they will not suffer unnecessary losses. The same two-week festive season price control scheme would be imposed for other holidays such as Christmas, Hari Gawai, Hari Kaamatan and Chinese New Year. The controlled food items for Hari Raya and Deepavali include chicken, beef, mutton, mackerel, eggs, cabbage, red chillies, grated coconut, red and white pomfret, tomatoes and white prawns.
Although numerous intiative had been taken in order to solve this problems, but we still in hard condition. Therefore we should try to save money from buying unnecessary items and spend our money wisely while facing problems. Moreover, we should support the government plan for our own benefits. In fact, the effectiveness of the programme are determined by us and people who are involved in that situation, therefore we need to cooperate with each other in order to solve the critical problems. In addition, we as consumer must understand the situation and not just blaming those traders who sell their products at high prices. But if the prices are very higher than usual we can take action by lodging reports to the authority so that our rights will be keep preserved. Be alert always and act wisely and rationally.
